Online Therapy for Students
Virtual OT, SLP and PT Services for Schools and Families
When in-person therapists aren’t available, TheraPeds provides flexible online therapy for students through fully remote or hybrid options. These services ensure every child receives consistent, high-quality care—whether at home, in the classroom or both.
Why Choose Online Therapy?
Also called virtual therapy, teletherapy or e-therapy, online therapy gives students access to licensed professionals when and where they need it. Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy. It also helps schools manage therapist shortages by allowing qualified professionals to serve students across multiple locations.
For many families and districts, online therapy is the most practical option—especially when travel, health restrictions or staffing gaps make in-person services difficult.

Benefits of Online Therapy for Students
- Meets IEP and IDEA requirements when onsite therapists are unavailable
- Removes barriers tied to location, transportation or health needs
- Flexible scheduling for individual, small group or classroom sessions
- Proven effectiveness across disabilities and age groups
What’s Needed for a Successful Session
Our therapists can join your home, classroom or clinic virtually. You’ll need:
- A computer with stable Internet, speakers, microphone and webcam (external preferred for PT)
- Basic school supplies (paper, pencils, scissors, etc.)
- An adult nearby to assist with materials or tech, if needed
- Clear space for the student to move and be visible on screen
Licensed Therapists
Only a state-licensed Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, or Physical Therapist can provide services in your state. Our therapists are all licensed in the state of Colorado and are eligible for licensure in other states. Our therapists are also nationally certified by NBCOT (OTs), ASHA (SLPs), and APTA (PTs).
